Benny Agbayani was born on December 28th, 1971. He attended St. Louis High School where he developed his baseball skills and then had a short stint at Oregon Tech and Hawaii Pacific University where he further honed what we now know as a baseball professional.

Professionally, he was selected by the California Angels on June 1, 1999 in the 25th round of free-agent draft, but did not sign. He was later selected by the New York Mets in the 30th round of the 1993 free-agent draft.
