Angela Perez Baraquio
College:
University of Hawaii at Manoa Angela was born on June 1, 1976 to Pest Control Operator/Founder Rigolette Baraquio and Pest Control President Claudio Baraquio. Growing up was sometimes difficult with 9 brothers and sisters (Cecilia, Jerome, Lucy, John, Therese, Bernadette, Rose, Albert, and Gloria. She soon excelled and became an honor student and standout athlete (girls' basketball & cross-country teams) from Moanalua High School, class of 1994. She tried her hand in the Miss Hawaii Pageant twice in hopes of attaining scholarship money for college. Upon successfully competing and winning the Miss Hawaii Pageant in 2000, Baraquio earned her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She is now a Holy Family Catholic Academy Physical Education teacher. In her spare time, she helps to direct a Tongan youth choir that she helped co-found. She has also served as assistant coach for the girls' basketball and cross-country teams at Moanalua High.
