Born: August 4, 1961 in Honolulu, HI

Barack Obama was born on August 4, 1961 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Kenyan born Barack Obama, Sr. and American Ann Dunham, who met as students at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Obama, Jr. graduated from Punahou School before continuing his education in the mainland at Occidental College and Columbia University. After several jobs, he entered Harvard Law School in 1988. Before becoming our President elect, he served as Senator for both the U.S. and the State of Illinois.
