Bruddah Iz was a symbol of what it means to be hawaiian. He captured everybody's hearts once you heard him sing. I remember the last concert I saw bruddah Iz performing. It was at the 1996 Downtown Ho'olaule'a and I cherish the experience I had when I listened to him sing. I always got chicken skin and still do when I hear his songs. That night was special for me because I had just graduated from high school about to start college. I remember his songs giving a message of hope to us young hawaiian people. He made realize that to live my life to the best way I can. To cherish life while you're alive. Love everyone. I will always think of him as the hawaiian superman. I know it's been four years since he has past but I always think of him when I hear his songs on the radio. My family and I give our condolences to you all. We wish you the best and congratulations on the birth of his granddaughter. I read the story in the Midweek a couple of months ago. Everyone will remember him always. Bruddah Iz will live on in all of our hearts. Mahalo nui loa, malama pono 'oukou, Aloha Hau'oli Ho'opi'i a me 'Ohana!

Just have to say that I was just turned on to Brother IZ's music and it is September 2000. Brother IZ is the shit and I hope that through word of mouth and web pages like Napster we can keep his music alive. Because I know I have a whole list of people that I need to turn on to his music. I just recently discovered Iz and his music on a visit to Kuaui and Maui. I have purchased some of his CDs. I play them in the car and for my family. His music is devine and angelic. My mother is 80 and very conservative. She has requested an IZ cd or tape as a gift. This is a tribute to the timeless talent and appeal of a fine artist. I only wish I had discovered his music sooner.

I was a visitor from Germany in the year 1995 at the first time on Oahu, and I heared the music of IZ, it was a great feeling to hear his voice and his music. I love this very much and it sooths my heart in the cold and grey Germany. Every year I was back on Hawaii to visit my son and IZ and the music of Hawaii and the Aloha. Thank you Israel for all your love you gave to the world with your special kind of music.
