Honolulu’s Joy of Sake event is the world’s largest sake celebration outside Japan, and is celebrating Hawaii’s hundred-year history with sake with their event next Friday, July 18th at the Hawaii Convention Center. The event offers the opportunity to taste 370 premium labels in peak condition, half of them daiginjos, most not available in the U.S.

New this year is an upscale street food section called “Izakaya Alley” to go along with the sake-friendly appetizers by 19 top restaurants from Hawaii and California including:

  • The Pig and the Lady (Honolulu)
  • The Halekulani (Honolulu)
  • Pili Hawaii (Honolulu)

  • Doraku (Honolulu)
  • Chef Chai (Honolulu)
  • Cakeworks (Honolulu)
